If you have a deer camp or group of buddies, do any of you create a "deer camp pool"? Meaning everyone throws X dollars into a pot and at the end of the time period, 50 % goes to biggest buck, 20 % goes to biggest doe, 20 % goes to longest shot....10 % goes to the guy with the worst luck or whatever.

What all criteria do you use. This is ALL for fun but thought it would add a little fun twist to opening weekend!

Please tell me more criteria that could be fun.

Longest shot ...this can be measured and verified
Best Shot ....but could be to subjective

We use a buck pool with 50% for the first buck and 50% for the biggest buck. If no one scores, money rolls over to the next year and everyone has to re-ante.

We just throw in a 20 and the biggest deer gets the pot...

We have done the biggest buck, biggest doe and smallest gets their dollar back. Wasn't too bad until most people wouldn't even give up a dollar for the pot. I have a buddy that at their camp they would put in 5 and for every shot they took another dollar went in. Biggest buck would take the pot. Had several years that the pot grew rather large. We have also done on the spot bets like height of a certain limb in a tree, or elevation difference between two points, closest to the bulls eye at a pretty decent distance.
