Early season tips

excersice year round but if in a hilly area might put more focus on that though.
just get out in the woods if not hunting the same area or if hunting an area that recieved alot of pressure last season make sure you see what is still available. setup trail cameras if you got them. prune previous or even new hunting spots so got good shooting lanes.
practice more often closer to season but several times throughout the summer. i can shoot the bow while on the back porch grilling.

Hunt the outside edge of your property. No need to tip the deer off straight up. As the rut gets closer start working into the core of your area where you know the does are bedding. Hunt the funnels leading from bedding to food. Bucks are still in a feeding pattern at the beginning of bow season. If you did your homework during the summer you should know which food sources he is preferring.

Besides the wind you need to know the geography and thermals. The air will rise uphill as it warms and descend in the afternoon as it cools carrying your scent with it. So plan your sit accordingly, esp on a calm day.
