Boone and Crockett Club
I was wondering if anyone was a member of the Boone and Crockett Club. I need someone to look up a score for a buck that I have. It was taken by a good friend of mine in '63 and I had it scored for him in 1996 in Louisville Ky. I ended up with it a couple of years later. My wife packed up the score sheet and letters from magazines wanting to do stories on it around 10-12 years ago right before she died. I have several thousand magazines in plastic totes and am trying to get around going through them one by one. As soon as I can figure out how to post a pic on here of it I will. If anyone is willing to help and needs more info just ask. Any help will be greatly appreciated. My buddy died a few years ago and I want to have a brass plate ingraved with all the info on it to put with the mount in his honor. Thanks

I'm a B&C Measurer, and because of this I'm an associate member.
The record book I have is the 2005 edition, so if the rack was entered after that, I won't have what you're looking for.
The rack appears that it could have been entered as either a typical or non-typical.
The trophies are listed in order of score, so I can manually peruse the book looking for an entry, but considering that there are over 5,000 entries it could be a big job.
If you remember whether it was entered as a typical or non-typical would be of benefit, as would the approximate score if you remember it (a ball-park figure would do). I also need your friend's name or whatever name the trophy was entered under.

The best I can remember it was the last of March in 1996 in Louisville, Kentucky under Jimmy Walker. Typical, 206 3/8??? Scoring it non typical would have added another 12 points maybe?? I remember someone making the statement about it and the Hansen buck being brothers. lol I also remember them saying something about being in the all Time Record Book?

Looking at the record book, I could find no entry from Kentucky in the name of Jimmy Walker. The only Walker from Kentucky I could find in the book was a Frank Walker who has an entry taiken in 2002.
Looking at the pictures, I can't imagine that rack netting 206 with the two abnormal points. I'd "guestimate" that it scores between 174 and 178. The two NT points appear to be about 6" long, this would mean a gross score of 198 to 202 not counting side to side non-symetry. Unfortunately my record book doesn't show gross scores.
What you might try is to contact B&C. Possibly there is an electronic data base they could search - my manual search is certainly not infallible. The guys to talk to there would be Justin Spring or Jack Reneau.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
