I agree with that. I was about 15 foot up a tree and had one out a ways. I gave a soft grunt and he looked right at me. On a calm day I have more respect for a deer's hearing abilities than their sense of smell.

I guess that would fall under the pros of having giant actuating satellite dishes for ears.
