Found 2 bucks locked together

I found 2 bucks locked together last year. Since I'm new I thought I would share some pictures.

Here they are after I found them and cut their heads off, they were pretty stinky.

I did a euro on the two bucks while they were locked together, it was challenging. They are locked tight and not coming apart for anything. I got them set up in my man cave at my house.

I found them floating in a pond last year. I guess they eventually pushed each other in the pond and drowned.

I take it you made sure it was legal to do that in your state, got a necessary permit, if needed, etc.?

skinnnner 01-14-2013 10:46 AM

Yup, the agent paddled while I held on. He's one of my best friends. We were actually coyote hunting together that day on my farm.

DJfan 01-14-2013 10:55 AM

Cool. It seems like it would be kind of rare, so kudos to you.

Buckyou 01-14-2013 10:59 AM

Nice find!

I found a 12pt and a 9pt locked together about 15 years ago on our property. Have them mounted up in my basement. We took ours apart though.

I'd also like to hear a little more

Topgun 3006 01-14-2013 02:35 PM

Something appears to be rotten in Denmark!!! Those posts were written in 2011 and now his post here says he found them last Fall and he seems to have been doing three different things when he found them!!! It's amazing the number of people who have been busted for shooting their mouth off on the internet and were found to be poachers or law violators if there was a violation here! I've also never heard of the term "agent" used for what appears he is saying was a Warden friend who helped him with his "find"!

jalex 01-14-2013 02:54 PM

Well, I didn't think it was a big deal about the details but since you must know ill explain. We worked cattle and since I was down on the farm anyway I thought I'd bring my pole to fish a little afterward. While pushing the cattle around I looked at the pond to see if any fish was hitting the surface. When I was looking at the pond I saw something floating that looked like a buck. After working cattle I drove down there to see and fish for a bit. After seeing it was two bucks locked up I called my buddy who is an agent. While waiting I hooked the deer with my rod and pulled then to the shore but they were to far in the water still to grab. By the time I got a boat down there he was there and we retrieved the deer. We cut the heads off and took them to the house. After that me and him decided to go coyote hunting for a bit because a front was moving in and it was close to dark. I substituted different parts in each story because I didn't want to type everything out and it didn't really matter. I was just sharing what i found. I'm glad that I've been on this site for a half day and I've been accused of lying twice, called a poacher, and questioned like a liar. You guys are something else. You can have this site, I'm out.

jalex 01-14-2013 02:57 PM

2011 was last winter. Ok I'm sorry it was a year and a couple months. Geez, morons. And by the way in missouri they are conservation agents, not wardens.

DeppedyDogg 01-14-2013 03:02 PM

Nice

Rare find amigo. Nice, thanks for posting pics.

If I found something like this, like you I'd find a way to memorialize it too.

Rare.

browtine7 01-14-2013 03:14 PM

Very cool yet sad find.

I mean, you got to see where GM54 is coming from. Stated above you used a snagging rod to pull them in but in a post before you said you held on the the antlers while your Conservation Police friend paddled in. It's a great find but you have to see there are a few different stories here and with all the things we see on here you have to understand why people are scratching their heads. Whether it was you or someone else who found it, they are still pretty cool!

VTBoneCollector 01-14-2013 05:51 PM

Those are two nice bucks. Congrats on the find. Bet you wish you could of put an arrow through either one.

Your right, I can see where Scott is coming from. I guess if I were in his shoes I would think the same. I wouldn't be so quick to call someone a poacher though, like that topgun tard. I did find them as I described. I have disposition papers for both heads and they are both sitting by the fireplace in my basement, still locked up. By the way, I feel the need for me to explain myself further was the result of the self created reasonable suspicion of myself falsifying the story by discrepancies, for whatever reason. I hope that I have somehow explained myself, for whatever it is worth. :party0005:
The bigger buck of the two I have a lot of trail cam pics of. He hung with the buck I killed during the 2011 firearms season and a few others. I think he was 3.5. The other buck I had never seen before, I believe he was older.

Topgun 3006 01-15-2013 05:33 AM

Look Jalex tard, LOL! You lack a little reading comprehension besides being a sorry story teller because I didn't call you a poacher. My exact sentence was: "It's amazing the number of people who have been busted for shooting their mouth off on the internet and were found to be poachers or law violators if there was a violation here!" People have been busted for law violations and poaching just by putting up pictures of animals or telling stories that ended up being poached. I guess you haven't seen the picture or read the story of the 19 year old kid in Worland, WY who put his picture on the net with a huge nontypical mulie buck that people had been watching. He said it was shot 30 miles from where they were watching it during an open season. People called the G&F Warden and the followup investigation found he shot it out of season right where they had been watching it all year. Further investigation found he shot several more out of season in another county. He's now a felon for multiple egregious violations and will be doing PRISON time!!! When he gets out he will no longer be allowed to own a firearm, vote, or hunt with any weapon for the rest of his life!!! Just Google the name "Colton Lapp" to read all about it!

You just stated: "By the way, I feel the need for me to explain myself further was the result of the self created reasonable suspicion of myself falsifying the story by discrepancies, for whatever reason."
***That was all you needed to say because that's exactly what made us all suspicious. Welcome to the site and behave yourself!!!

Gm54-120 01-15-2013 09:36 AM

jalex

Im certainly not calling you a poacher. Ive seen enough of your posts on the Whitetail forum to believe you would not do that and i know where the pics of the deer came from in Mo. There is a small pond or two very close according to google maps and gps data.

People on the net use the pics of others all the time as you well know and i have no doubts they are your pics. Like i said, i saw them over a year ago and when they were posted here as last years pics with a different version of events it made me wonder if someone else was using them.

So you know where they come from huh? Based by your statement you are not right.

Gm54-120 01-15-2013 11:31 AM

Your Iphone 3G has gps info it saves on the pics and i have a plugin for Mozilla that brings it up on Google maps. So yes i know where the PICs were taken. ;) I can send it to you in a PM if you like.

Topgun 3006 01-15-2013 12:16 PM

This guy won't give up will he, LOL!!! Put the friggin coordinates up along with a google earth closeup picture of his pond and shut him the heck up!!!

Gm54-120 01-15-2013 12:49 PM

Posting personal info in the forum would be in really bad taste and probably a violation of the rules. I did send a PM to the person who posted the pics back in 2011 on another forum and depending on how he replies, i will send Jalex the Google Maps info in a PM if he wants it.

Its a simple EXIF viewer add-on for Firefox and not some kind of hacking. Anyone can learn to do it within a few minutes on some cellphone pics.

jalex 01-15-2013 01:03 PM

If what your saying is true then you have my home address, which is 15 min from the farm where I found the deer. That's a bit creepy by the way. Top gun, do everyone a favor and leave...

Gm54-120 01-15-2013 02:21 PM

You have a PM and also a link to a program to remove metadata from pics. It will even do batch jobs and its pretty simple to use.

NebBuckHunter 01-15-2013 08:21 PM

I would enjoy jalex leaving actually....

I don't. They are cool to look at but dont care about the rest.

Gm54-120 01-16-2013 09:59 AM

Guys,,,,Jalex is on the level. He is the same person who posted the original pics and he does have a nice farm with ponds as he stated. In Missouri we do call them conservation "agents" and not wardens. I edited my previous posts. The exact events don't mean anything.

The pics are pretty cool, its all legal and that's all that matters.

Im sorry Jalex.

Topgun 3006 01-16-2013 10:32 AM

Well why the heck did you get us all wound up then, LOL! Good to hear everything panned out and it does look like he has some good deer down on the farm. Apologies from here too! PS: So now "agent" is the PC term for these LE folks, huh!
