I am joining my in-laws hunting camp in 2013. I have been out to the lease a few times. They have a range of critters out there to include deer, ducks, and turkey. I looked at google maps and found a plot that nobody is using. I will more than likely be using my model 94 30-30 and my 870 shotgun.

The plot that I am looking at has a small pond and is surrounded by planted pine.

What do you think about the plot? Any places where you would start thinking about putting a plot and a stand?

Maps are great but you need to visit the site for yourself.

Only then can you determine stand locations. You have to pattern deer movements at certain predetermined times of the year.
