There are so many hunters out there that have that calling skill. That isn't something that sponsors are looking for. They look for people who are 100% dedicated and already have something going. We got a few small product sponsorships from some hunting companies for my team but we are by no means a television show. We do video tape our hunts and try to compile a video at the end of the season promoting the products that we use.

They are also more willing to sponsor someone if they are well known. A sponsorship is given out to benefit the company as well. To get their name out there more.

As far as getting on television. If you don't know the right people or have "connections" then you are better off just making online clips your self.

Well I am 100% dedicated and have a high knowledge in deer and deer hunting I also have a deer farm so I watch their behavior on a
Regular basis but we do not hunt them. It's sad you have to have connections to get on television even if you do know a lot. Hopefully my opportunity will come anything is possible and if so I will mention how huntingnet.com has helped me. I just enjoy helping people that's one reason why I would like to get on television to give tips. Heck even to get sponsored would be nice but can't always get what you want. I don't know how much you think I know but I know quite a bit I'm not trying to be rude or sound like a know it all either. Thanks for your opinion

How big is the farm ?
Start by getting your guide license and sells some hunts.
Have a demo tape for the hunters to see, and even give them one as a spiff with the hunt. Include all info on it and a coupon for "a friend" to order one.
Rattle in some deer for them and film it....make a video of the hunts.
Post them on Youtube......with your info.
Why TV ? For the money ? If you get a guide service going, have nice deer etc, offer to have WELL KNOWNS HUNT THERE...getting your name out there. Thats how you make CONNECTIONS. Takes A LONG TIME ! SO FILM EVERYTHING !

start video taping , putting them on youtube, hunting site and video site. Develop a fan base and then write letters , emails or calls

good luck, tons of people trying to get into the business. It takes buku bucks if you want to be on tv, a lot of shows are paid by the people putting them on, then they sell adverstisement to companies.

tough business

Like stated, lots of people know how to call, I call a majority of my deer in and consider myself above average in calling.

Names sell, antlers sell

Are you shooting a lot of big deer ?

Also usually sponsors do not pay you money unless you have a very successful tv or dvd show. They will send you products to use.

Pretty saturated market. I have a very close friend who works for a major TV show/magazine. He shot a caribou, two black bears, and two mulies on camera for their show in the last year. Takes a lot of start up to get going, and not to be rude or anything, but with the number of people already filming hunts, who own major properties, etc, sponsors don't have to pay big bucks to sponsor people. Most likely, sponsors will give you products that by contract you have to use while filming....

Like someone else said, selling hunts and guiding is where the money is at. Just look on youtube, every Tom dick and Joe thinks they have their own television show....

Reality is, it's gonna be hard to get into this market.

Not for the money by any means and our farm is 90 acres with 40 deer 26 whitetail and 14 fallow. Thanks for the advice and yes I have shot a few decent deer 133 inch 138 inch and 151 inch but again thanks helps a lot I will just start filming them after I get a camera.

Just wondering how you keep 40 deer on 90 acres, and have it down to the point where you know exactly how many you have of each. Deer roam for miles, so keeping them on 90 acres would be pretty much impossible unless it is high fence....
