Default Ghost town Northern IL?

Hey guys,
I live in Northern IL and haven't had any response to pre-rut tactics.
I've used;
  • Minerals
  • 3 different estrous scents
  • Rattling
  • Bleeting
  • Grunts
all to no avail

I haven't seen or heard anything in weeks,.
Has anyone in mchenry/lake county witnessed aggressive bucks?

P.S.
I've been hunting for 7+ years, [I know its happening now] i just would like a few local perspectives.

We have normal deer movement activity in Will county with the buck movement really increasing and getting more daytime appearances.

You best rethink the use of minerals.

i hunt all over here in se wisconsin and trust me theres no shortage of deer around here not sure what your local laws are but during pre rutt scouting is when i use my minerals, peanut butter and any other goodies i come across at the walmart those in combination with a good trail cam will give you an idea if anything is in the area or not. mabey you just picked a bad spot happens to us all your best bet is find the nearest water source and start searching around there.

Maybe you need to put up some deer crossing signs where you hunt. It seems to work for this lady. Sadly, she really has no clue.
