I have shot them both in my Bar .270. It prefers the core locks.

I've shot both out of my Marlin 30A .30-.30 and they pattern the same, 150 grain. I personally use the winchesters, my friend uses the core-locks in his marlin.

Use whatever you are comfortable with. The deer isn't going to be able to tell the difference. Put it where it is suppose to go and either will do fine. If you are going to be reloading, I would go with the Winchester. I like their brass better.
