Default Bucks chasing does in Il!!!

I was at a Registered Trap shoot today and had a buddy come up to show his dad a nice 13ptr and a doe he shot with in 2 minutes!!!!
He was in stand at 1:30pm and had the buck come by at approx. 3pm. He saw the buck chasing the doe and she shot past him just as he began to draw for the buck. The buck comes into his shooting lane and he gets blasted. Runs off about 40yards and piles up. A few seconds later the doe comes back by apparently looking for the buck. She finds out shortly!!!! Both in the back of the truck a half hour later. Buck had basic but jacked up 8 main points and stickers around the base. Good cull buck to get out of the gene pool.

I thought I saw a yearling seeking does... he seemed to be moving, not just walking through the woods... this was NW IL, curious where you're at as well though?

which part of IL??

Southern Il. Was at the World Shoting Complex at Sparta. Don't know what county it is.

I watched a nice big 8 point chase a doe last week. It was the first time I have actually seen it as I usually never hunt during the day because of work. But I hunted one afternoon in a field stand and I saw this doe come out of right field around 1:15 running and was like no way I spooked her so naturally I looked behind her and saw a nice buck. They were both going through some thick brush where we just planted some pines and she was having to jump pretty high just to get through it and all I could see was his rack and some of neck sticking up.

I had 2-3 chances to shoot him in some thinner areas but I just watched them play grab ass for about 15-20 minutes. He chased her all through that brush and must have lost her for a while cause I could see him pacing back and forth. Then he went back into the taller brush and I never saw him again. I just assume he found what he was looking for.
