I would have a conservation officer take a look at it. Not saying it is....but it could be a rare disease they should know about. As far as mounting it....your dam right you should mount it. That's something you don't see everyday and would make a super conversation piece.
Nice buck if you ask me. |

i agree cactus buck...usually when, like the last pic b4 me, their testes get jarred or removed, they will quit sheddin antlers, and the new growth every year adds to the last years...is that rope grown in there? cactus are hard to come by, but not un common. mount it, hang it on the wall..NO ONE has a mount exactly like that 1

I would call a university or wildlife service and get it analyzed. That could be some interesting information, because I've never seen anything like that.

My husband killed a buck in December that was still in velvet a couple of years ago. His buck had some issues with his boy parts. Either he never developed or he had had an unfortunate accident. But yours is a lot more boogered up looking. Congratulations on the cool kill!

i would mount it but i dont have the money at the time.. hints why i was hoping for some value on him! and no he definitely wasnt a female, and his nuts were fine hah but thanks for the info guys.

If money is the issue then cape him out and freeze it for when you do have the money. Just make sure you cut the skull and leave a cap for the taxidermist. Another thing you could do which is pretty cheap is cut the horns at the base and make a European mount out of it...I think that would look real cool!
