Been in the woods a good deal lately ..... absolutely covered up with acorns. Chestnut, White and Water oaks are dropping. Persimmons are about gone. Muscadines long gone. Wet conditions have resulted is lots of luch browse. Deer are hitting the browse hard. The honey suckle absolutely being hammered.

So ... definitely looks like the lead up to 2011-12 season.

Thanks for the info. I wonder if the early acorn drop will lead to more deer in the green fields once gun season opens?

It sure is better than last year,we had to hunt near the river since that was the only water around.This year the deer will be every where.
