Season Looking Good
I killed the fourth deer of the season a little while ago and have her hanging up to cool. All four have been super fat and in great shape. Looks like it is going to be a great season. I plan to kill maybe two more with a bow, maybe two with a muzzleloader and one or two with a rifle. That should be about right for my properties.
We have a massive mast crop so deer are not traveling a great deal to feed. It has made for some interesting hunting. The weather has been good, just starting to get cool so it is compfortable hunting. I hunted a few afternoons n shorts and a T-shirt. The deer don't seem to care. I even killed a turkey dressed that way. Maybe I'll start a new camo fad.
