Where are all the bucks?
#1

I hunt in MA, i know its not a huge deer state as it is. Every year before the season I do my normal scouting hang tree stands place trail cameras etc. I have had my cameras out for about a month and a half. I placed my cameras in new promising spots and "old reliable" spots. I have had PLENTY pictures of does, 95% in the day time(early morning first light to about 9:30 am and just before dark) but I have NOT had single picture of a BUCK! This has NEVER happened to me before! It's very frustrating and confusing. I know come November the bucks are going to be looking for the does in the rut, but it seems like they have been whipped off the face of the earth. I know if i be patient sooner or later i will see one (hopefully). You guys have any idea of what could be going on, or what I should do? Thanks allot-Scarp

I used to hunt a flat on top of a mountain with a spring and lots of oaks. I was not seeing bucks either until one day 5 of them fed through. They are still probably hanging together at a really good food source. When they break up you will probably see more.

"Is The Land You Hunt a Cold, or Warm Season Whitetail Paradise"
Check out this article I just wrote. The bottom line, bucks need different habitat conditions for cold and warm seasons. Often if you see lots of bucks during the summer, that same habitat may not hold a buck during November.
Take some time to read this though...might help! Let me know what you think:
