Early morning and late evening. Catch them in the morning moving into cover and later (about an hour or 2 before dark) in the day going to feed.

All of the bucks I have taken were shot between the hours of 6 and 12, with the exception of a spike I shot in the last hour of the season when I was 16. Many people have success in the hour just before dark, and bucks do move at that time, but so far I have not had such an opportunity. I hunt all day long, but my favorite time is from daybreak until noon.

It all depends if the rut is in full swing, but I would agree that early mornings and late evenings are the prime time for monitoring deer movement.

If I had to pick one time to hunt, it would be the last 2 1/2 to 3 hours of the daylight.

Good Luck!

Most the year; first and last hours are the best. However if I had to choose the best & most productive time I spend seeing bucks it is midday during the rut 10-3pm(you know the time most go back to camp for lunch and a snooze

My favorite time is PM. I' ve harvested a lot more deer in the late afternoon than any other time and also seen more in the PM compared to AM.
