I live in the west and it gets brutally hot during early seasons. You can't hang them for any time at all as temps are reaching 100 Plus. I bought a 99$ chest freezer. I get deer or antelope I bone them out put them in a quarter bag and freeze it. I put it in the back of my truck, bring frozen food up and meat back. Its worked for 15 years never lost one bit of meat.

Make sure there are no bears , wolves ,mountain lions if you going to hang a deer outside .
