Thanks for the positive responses. I really hate to vent, but I just got tired of the negative trends that I am beginning to see here.
As gun owners and hunters I believe that we all have one thing in common, THE APPRECIATION FOR, AND THE LOVE OF A FINE GAME ANIMAL SUCH AS THE WHITETAIL DEER! Anytime I meet a stranger and find that they are hunters too, they are no longer strangers, but new friends with a common bond! That is why I am addicted to and love this board so much! Our focus should be on promoting fellowship, sportsmanship, conservation, and as I said before, to teach the non-hunting public that there is a big difference between legal hunting and poachers!
While the anti's know that there is a difference, (with their warped sense of values, they just don't care!) There are probably many non-hunters that would be sympathetic to our cause if they knew just how much REAL hunters love animals and that poachers are CRIMINALS that have no part in our fraternity!
Again, sorry for venting so much, but we need to fight the real enemies and not each other!

Yes I agree over in the bow forum we have a couple elitist, who I am not surprised have not responded to this thread. One really sticks out in my mind. Just check out the "Is using a rifle cheating" thread, or something along that line.

Good post. Some times there is alot of closed mindedness. Like you said this is the mentality the anti.s want us to have. If it keeps up there will be more Bill Mahrs in the world.

I think your right Frank. This Post needs to be at the top of this Forum so all can read including the Bow Forum. People should have the choice.To the point it dosn't endanger the Public.

How about instead of putting this thread at the begining of each forum, which is a good idea. Let's have seperate forum called " Gods Gift To Deer Hunting " or " Chuck Adams Wannabes ". There these guys who are such great hunters could brag to their hearts content. Then the other forums could be subtitled "For Normal Hunters ".

When I came across this site it looked like a good place to learn a thing or two.

Lets see so far I have learned I am doing this all wrong.

Wrong method (rifle not bow).
Wrong riffle (semi not bolt).
Wrong riffle (Dosen't cost enough).
Wrong caliber (Not big enough 7.62x39)
Wrong selection (if it has horns I will shoot)

Ohh well I'm not going to let it get me down I think I will just go build a shooting house now.
