Guys what do you think about hunting with deer decoys? On opening day I had a huge white tail buck run out into a field that was on the property we were hunting (out of range unfortunaly) and this brute stopped for 2 or 3 seconds to look at my doe decoy that was about 300 yards away, if I had been in the stand to the North I would have had a crack at the bad boy but I was to far away and I would have been shooting through tree branches. This is the first time I have ever used and seen a deer react to a decoy, and the thing is he was on a full run and stopped just for a few seconds to look at my pretty doe decoy and as I said if I would have been hunting on the stand further to the North I would have gotten a shot off. I would like to hear from you hard core hunters what your experience with decoys is

they work during the rut for sure, the buck I shot this year was circling decoys for 15-20 minutes. he kept charging the buck decoy trying to fight him over the doe decoy.
