Only hurt him if that sort of thing matters to you. The buck I wanted the worst that lived on our property was only a 6-pointer. Maybe he would score 100". But he was 9 years old and 300lbs. Both ears were ripped up from fighting. He was a stud. I'm sure he could have thrown any Texas 200 incher like a rag doll :D |

First try at posting a picture from photo bucket. Here is an 8 pointer from Southampton Virginia. 160 something |
2010 Best deer in Va, and gun Typical at Dixie Deer Classic at 164.

Once again.... a real beautiful deer. Like I said before it takes a slammer 8 to make 140 and that guy was beyond a monster.

Assumiing the ears are 6" and extend out 15" Left G1=6 G2= 14...might be a little less G3=12 H1=5...probably more H2=4...probably more H3=3 H4=3 Main Beam=25...mains come way back together making a lot of length Total for left=72 Total for right= 72 Inside spread= 20 Total 164 Since the Right side is so symetrical I gave it a 72 as well Probably the best 8 I have ever seen from a score and symetry perspective. ![]() |
The Elisha Hugen buck from Iowa, shot in 1996, scored 185+ gross and 182 3/8. That was an 8-pointer.
There was a non-typical shot in Ohio a year or two ago that had a typical 9-point frame that was well over 200 inches. |
