For the past few years now I have been hunting over our corn feeders. These last few years they have been tearing up the corn, I would have seen about a hundred deer come and go by now. But this year the corn is piling up and I've seen one buck and two doe. Apparently they're tearing up the acorns that are falling, but at night. Our cameras are catching them around midnight. I live and hunt in Saint Johns Florida, about 30-40 miles outside Jacksonville, very rural. Any suggestions? Should I just wait until the acorns stop falling? Anybody know when the rut should start for this area? usually starts around this time but I haven't seen much. In fact, the past 3 times I've sat in my stand I sat from 5am-10am and haven't seen a single deer. Any thoughts would help.
