Default buck question? i am baffled!

Ok, I been seeing the same bucks each time I hunt, there are about 14 of embrace ranging from 4,6,8 pts. My question is where are my big bucks that I know live on my property!??? Are these lil bucks a indicator that the big bucks are else where? I am so frustrated! I have hunted in different places of my property which is about 100 acres and keep seeing the same deer! Any suggestions???

If you have access to trail cams they could take some of the guess work out of it. I'd be guessing but I would say a mojority of your big buck activity is happening at night. Here in Mo the rut is on, bucks are stupid and are being see all day long. During our pre-rut I only got big buck pics at night on my camera. I would say they are there they just hide too well. Try to find a bedding area or a scrape line, or make a mock scrape and put a camera up. This will let you know what is using the scrapes.

The "wise" old boys go nocturnal and nothing you can do about it unless you find where they bed.

We are just starting to see the bigger bucks during the day on our game cams, but until a week ago all the pics of them where at night, all the smaller bucks have been seen during the day alot more often. The closer to the rut it gets they all start to change patterns...

get a couple good flavors of estrus and doe piss....a real set of antlers you can bang..
do research, find out when yer peak rut is...be ready to go for those 5 days(no matter what..do ya really want him?)...especially when the temps get the lowest..
put out the estrus like you would play the wind bowhunting, just backwards...
dont rattle to much, but when you do, play it out in yer head like the 2 biggest bucks fighting...tink tank, bang bang bang..then stop fer an hour er so...
wait til you see the whites of his eyes to shoot....dont think about the shot too much, er ya might have a few adrenaline rushes before he even gets in range. gl
