hunting 1 deer?

Default hunting 1 deer?

ok so i got a pictur wensday of this week at 830 eating rice brand and hes a monster! my question is ive never hunted just 1 deer and how shoud i go about hunting this monster? what can i do? any tips? thanks jd

Be in the stand everyday you can.and Hunt the stands around his area as long as the winds are good.

you would have to set out several cameras and study him for a season or 2.

once the pre rut comes in his core area wont be important he will get dumb and be all over the place.

that's what I was going to say, unless you hunt 2-3k continuous acres, tough to really hunt 1 deer come the rut.

I would try to hunt just him but wouldn't pass up on another that you would pull the trigger on also.

At this point in the season your best hope is time in the woods. If you're not out there, I can guarantee you won't get him. With the rut coming, he'll be all over the place. Hunt the does and the bucks will be there. To specifically hunt one deer you need to have more time to dedicate to finding and patterning him. This late in the year that will be hard to do. Good luck getting him though!

Try to stay in areas where does feed and travel...
Too much scouting now could tip your hand...

Its tough to hunt a deer off of a one-time picture. Be out there as much as possible and I'm sure a trophy buck will slip up and get in your sights.
