I didn't see a thing today when I was hunting a neighbor's property about a mile down the road. The bugs almost carried me away. I'm hoping to take at least one off their property...Ideally I would like to kill a doe or two there. Hoping that would move some of the bucks down there out a bit and perhaps they would venture my way. I don't want to take out my does before the buck season even starts.
All this strategizing is gonna bite me in the backside if I get skunked this season.

I will tend to shoot the largest doe I see when I decide I'm ready to fill the freezer. So if several walk out, the biggest is getting it. But, if I only see one, there's a good chance it'll get it regardless. I don't shoot if there's still milk on it's lip, but pretty much everything else is fair

Pass on any yearling doe and take any adult I see, although I will not shoot an adult doe that still has fawns.
