Get yourself a bow and you can be out hunting in less than 10 days.

Can hardly wait...

Rifle season is when most of the wolves really start killing the deer. Plus with guns it's wayyyyy to easy to kill a deer. Not even fun to me. Anyone could go out and shoot a deer at 100+ yards with a gun. now lets see people get within 20-30 yards and pull back a bow and try to kill one.

It may be easier overall, but when you are gun hunting and you have your quarry walk within 10-15 yards of your stand it doesn't always feel that way.

I used to bow hunt, but I never really enjoyed it all that much. I prefer gun hunting to bow hunting. If I had more time to spend in the woods, then I could do both as I did as a kid, but for now I'm getting psyched about going back into the woods at the end of this month to check out how the woods have changed with all the storms this summer.

No big need to go yet, you can barely see anything with all the foliage still up. I love wandering around the woods and being outside. Sitting still to gun hunt is hard enough for me.

I'm not used to sitting still, I'm used to moving around during the day.

You can always move to south Florida. The bow season opens July 30 down there.
