I have been in the military for a year now. I am stationed in the arlington va area now. This will be the first year i cannot hunt around home. I am in need of some places to go bow huntin this year, rabbit, dove etc. If anyone would be interested in helping me weather it be your property or public somewhere not to far away either in maryland or va i would greatly appriciate it. i would be willing to meat up before hand to get to know ya. whatever it takes so i dont miss out this year

I served 5 yrs Marines, 2yrs army this being your rookie year ill fill u in on something! You don't need to ask on here for a place to hunt! If anything your in the best position to hunt in some of the best kept secret hunting places in the world! Your military so u don't need to purchase an out of state license for one, and two the military has thousands of acres for people like to hunt. Get with your station commander and the states dept of natural resources to obtain maps of local bases that are open for you to hunt! Hope this helps!

There is a wildlife management area in Culpeper. You are about 4-5 hours from Ft Pickett. I've heard good things about hunting there as well. I would check with Ft Belvour as well since they are located closer to you but in a remote area that is probably crawling with deer.
