I usually don't keep my deer meat for more then a year.If I did find some for that long of a period of time, I would not want to take the chance of eating it.

If it isn't freezer burnt, it should be fine...especially for jerky.

DEER MEAT DONT LAST LONG ENOUGH IN MY FREEZERS..

I have found and used meat that was two or three years old for jerkey and was fine,I have also found some that was a year that was no good.check it out if not brunt it is ok.
since I got my vacume-sealer I have not had that problem.
