That's a long time to be frozen.That deer would have died of old age by now ..If it's not freezer burned and smells good it's probably all right.If there is any doubt I wouldn't take a chance.Not worth getting sick over.Ruger Redhawk

mine never makes it that long and if it did old fido would be enjoying it . P.S. take a youngster keep hunting alive :)

As I write this I'm chewing on elk jerky that was from 1998 frozen solid , no freezer burn, wooooonderful, usahunter

I would think that it is fine for jerky. If the bag was closed good and the meat is not freezer burned.
