Who is all going away from there normal deer hunting spots and have a trip planned to somewhere else? I am driving about 3-4 hours to western Kansas to spot and stalk mulies and whitetails with my bow. This will be the first time for me to hunt further than 50 miles away. I buddy i' m going with said there is about a 50% mix of whitetails and mulies and that every year he sees world class bucks. I' m pretty anxious, and have the trip planned at the end of Oct.

Another message board I go to is doing a Florida hunt, and the plan is to hunt at the WMA I hunt and camp at a nearby campground. This place is almost 2 hours from home, and I usually do day hunts, without camping. This time I' ll camp with the group. One guy is from Oklahoma.
Do they really think I' m going to show them the good spots?[>:]

Well, I guess I will. That way when they get home they will talk about the great deer I put them on!

Well, in Sept I will be traveling up into the Rocky Mtns. to hunt elk with the bow, then late Sept. I will day trip to eastern Colo. to bow hunt antelope, then in Oct. and Nov. I will be going to Ks. to archery hunt deer and then include some bird hunting on the Nov. trip. And the trip that will be my ultimate that is already planned, some money out of pocket already too, is ALASKA next fall for moose and caribou. That' s about all I have planned so far.

I live out of the USA so my hunting trip/vacation to our land in Ga. is a big trip for me. Cant wait. We laid some good plots and have done some QDM projects.
We harvest great deer on the land any way but it will be interesting to see how this year will be with all of our members!
Great sit you have! Cant belive that deer you nailed with your truck[X(]

I' m planning a trip or two to Northern Oklahoma. My dad just bought 1,000 acres up there in two seperate tracts for investments. He turned around and sold the first tract immediatly but I know the new owner very well and he doesn' t have time to hunt up there this year and has told me I can hunt, no problem. My dad still owns a 480 tract in Ok, litterally on the KS border that I will be hunting also. Right now a buddy and I planning a hunting trip up there for late Oct. I will probably go up in late August or early Sept. and do some scouting and hang my stands. It is about a 9 hr trip but hopefully the long drive will pay off.lol Either way, I' m just excited about getting out of my usual hunting area and hunting in a totally new area and terrain. It will be a huge difference compared to this pineywoods and hardwoods swamp bottoms I' m used to hunting.
