Hey guys. Just wondering how much you guys that hunt private land pay for a lease, or how much you paid if you own your land. Also, is it near your home or states away?
Just curious.
Thanks.

It will vary, depending on area and acerage. If you go to www.afoa.org and click "land for lease" at the top it will give you a lot of land and pricing mainly in Alabama with a few leases in other states.

Leases vary some what here in Missouri,I looked at about 480 acres for around $4.00-$5.00 per acre which is about 80 miles away in another County also Hunt some Land where we get limited access and only Rifle/Gun hunt for the 11 days of Deer season for a lot less money and closer to home, then I hunt Family Owned Private Land for free, then there is all kinds of Public Land to Hunt on around us here in Missouri, mostly Conservation Land CA and MTNF (Mark Twain National Forest) Land.

I have the liberty of hunting both. I own 60 acres that I rarely hunt. I'm trying to manage it so that in a few years I'll have somewhere close to take my two boys. I also am in on a lease of 1200 acres a few hours from the house. Its a combination of paper company land and private land. The lease on average is about $8 an acre. The price to lease in this particular county of Alabama is being driven up by hunters coming over from ATL, Ga. We found some additional land the other day and it was over $10 an acre and it just isn't worth that. Land down in the Black Belt of Alabama where the big boys are at is around $11 an acre.
