No, not self righteous. I don't see the thrill in killing an obviously small deer after you have already killed 9 just so you can brag about getting to 10. As I said before, hunting is not all about pulling the trigger.

30-06 with a 3x9x40 scope, I've got a feeling you had it set to the highest power, How many shots to put her down? How far did she run?

(Just Kidding) if it is legal to take them (10) and you want to go for it- go for it, it must be the DNR down there wants to thin the herd or something, I am sure they have a reason, Congratulations, Talk to a taxadermist, maybe you can get a "herd" mount!!! (kidding again) Doc

Where I hunt, the does never get much bigger than 105 lbs. Shot one last year that tipped the scales at 117 and the other guys said it was one of the biggest they'd seen. 130 lbs is about the size of a 3 year old buck...

13, don't let them bother ya. This time of the year they have nothing to do, so everyone complains. If it's legal, and you (or someone else) uses the meat, more power to ya. I'd never use 10 in a year, so I stop around 4 every year (only 2 this year).
