My wife's an angel by the way, she just looked over my shoulder and asked what I was doing, so I better throw that in:s2:

Big pot. Mix several beers, add a tablespoon of Dales, and enjoy! Happy 2011.

I'm in the same boat. Had a few close calls in archery and rifle was a bust.I've been hunting with my 8 year old so hunting is a little tougher :D

All your tags, and 2 cups of potatos cubed, 1 cup of carrets sliced, about 8 to 12 small onions about the size if 50 cent peace, about 4 to 6 cerely sticks chopped, 2 to 4 squirrels skinned, and quartered, salt, and pepper to taste.
Put in crock pot, start on high for 30 minutes to an hour, then on low for about 6 to 8 hours, or a large pot with a lid on a stove, put on high untill it boils, and turn down to med simmer, for 2 to 4 hours.

Then enjoy your tag soup.

You may omit the tags, they have to manny bones in them any way. lol

No big deal, at least I saw deer. Once and a while you have a bad year. As long as I actually see some deer I'm O.K. with tag soup or sandwich now and then.

It depends on what your goal is. I usually hold out till the last week of hunting season and thats when the rut kicks in. I've past up on some nice deer that I wish I would of shot and had to settle for a meat deer come the last day. Seeing deer here is a given but I'm looking for quality. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know you can't eat the antlers but the meat only last a few months but the antlers last a life time.

Yeah, It was a great fall for me too. Unfortunately, nobody got hurt. If you need more tags for the potluck, let me know, I'll donate mine. They're still fresh.

Plant several food plots with brassicas, rape and turnips...use the turnips in the Tag Soup for later on,that and shoot 2 Coyotes and a Bobcat...that will help out some? ;)

I always like going out this time of year to look for Antler Sheds and checking my trail camera's to see what made it thru the Season...its nice to know that there are still a few nice Bucks out there for next year and after finding a few Shed's it makes up for not getting a Deer...well a little bit any ways? :)

Set another place, I'll join you and furnish more tags. Did not see a shooter buck. Last year tagged out, this year zuich! How soon till Oct ML season.

I changed things up this year. This weekend is late antlerless season, and I usually spend the whole weekend in a stand trying to fill all my remaining tags. I have one more tag to fill and decided to leave the deer gun home and take my 5 yr old son and my .22 out looking for squirrels. Not filling a tag is much easier to live with when it is by choice! We've been stocking up on squirrels for the skillet. We are having fun, and squirrels are much quicker to cut up than deer! I'm butchered out for the year. I hope that a handful of bushytails will add some much needed flavor to my tag soup.

I prefer my tag soup dry and a little burnt... Actually REALLY burnt!!! :D Whatever tags are left over at the end of the season go in the fire place. :D

Sadly I took a couple bites of that burnt tag soup this year... I did shoot a big 10 this year but couldn't find it. We looked days for it. So I was close. I did get two does though.

Thats a bummer

I,ve had a season or 2 like this also .
Although its been years since .
Well hopefully yo have a buddy or 2 that were lucky enough to tag one .
I filled 3 tags and felt bad so gave 2 full deer away to my buds .
Well there will be a day they will repay .. LOL...
