I use a summit viper and it has done well. It is the steel one so it is a little heavy but I only paid 150 or so. I have also heard good things about the tree lounge but i don't want to pay the money for it..lol

I have the Summit Open Shot. Reasons: 14 lbs and strong. I know there are stronger ones, and larger ones, and more comfortable ones, and cheaper ones, and more expensive ones (for those that believe you get what you pay for), and ones that have chains instead of cables. But in the end, I have to go with something light as sometimes I have to walk a good ways to get to where I hunt. My buddy has one which is twice the weight of mine, he swears (through his dripping sweat) that his stand is better and that the extra weight is nothing. And it would be nothing, if that was all I had to carry on a hunt! But by the time I put the stand on my back, and grab my bow or rifle, and my possibles bag, and of course loaded down with clothing, the last thing I want to add is more weight!
Whatever you buy, remember to always use your safety straps/harness! |

I tried the Lone Wolf and got my money back and then bought a Summit "Open Shot"...
When this one wears out I'll buy another... |
I have an API and a Summit. While both are comfortable, the Summit wins out.

I recomend an ole man to anyone that ask.In my opinion I think that the ole man multivision is the best treestand made.I love mine,in bow season I use to regular mount and in rifle season I use the gun rest. These treestands are light and are VERY durable. The hammock seat is awesome too I can sit all day in that thing. It has ALOT of safety features and is the safest treestand on the market today. They are also easy to put up.These climbers are AWESOME!!!Couldn't be happier with mine.

Check out the Ameristep Grizzly 9500 on ebay. Just bought one for $70 shipping and all. All steel so it is not a feather weight by any means.
