Default Outfitter help

I have been Saltwater fishing my whole life and wanted to start deer hunting to try to change things up. This is my first year deer hunting and I have killed my first deer.(8 pointer) Now I want to go on a hunt with an outfitter. I want to spend around $1,500 to $2,000 for a couple of days hunt. I could spend 4-6K on a hunt but being my first outfitter experince I just wanted to take it slow. I have been researching a lot and have found many places to go. I have been looking into hunts in kentucky, it is not to far from NC and it looks like a good start for me. With all of this said I was wanting to know if anyone could give me some advice. Also I will be shooting a Rifle. Thanks for your help.

Check out bird-n-buck.com Mr. Ron Thompson is a stand up guy and will tell you straight up how the hunting is going. I went with him in 2006 to learn a little more about deer hunting since I have been having to teach myself. I did not get a deer with him that year but I did see several 130 class deer and one that would have gone 160+ just couldn't get a shot on him. If ya have any questions about him feel free to pm me.

Thanks Kelly I will check him out and see what he has to offer. I am like you I have just been teaching myself and learn as I go. I am not looking to kill a doe as far as it goes just looking to have a good expericnce and maybe kill a nice buck. I have been looking at a couple of guys in kentucky that seem to be resonable, but I cant really find any reviews on them. Thanks for all the help.

Why not go to the Midwest, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, you will have a chance at a better deer I would think for that kind of money.
