Default Edicate ?

I had a dentist appointment this morning so I didn't get out till this afternoon. When I got to my friends house I noticed another truck there. It is a guy who use to get access through an adjoining property. Him and his guys were not given access there any more cause they drove deer and put alot of deer on the ground, and the other guys wife was not happy about it. Our friend lets him park and head out. So I was walking to a new ladder stand I put up, and get about 50 yards from it, and I see this guy is in my stand. Now not only did I buy and put up the stand, but I cut and cleared an overgrown trail, cut lots of shooting lanes, and put out some scent. I spent a few hours prepping this area. I was not pissed the guy was in the stand, and I was gonna ask him if he had seen anything and then tell him where I would go so he would know. He sees me stop 50 yards away, and I see him looking at me, so I continue down the trail, all hell breaks loose. There are 7 does ( I could see 2 flash by ) and they were heading right for him. He blasts a couple of shots well after they had passed the stand and misses. He then is giving me an attitude, so I tell him I was sorry, and then asked him if he knew the deer were there before he saw me. He answered in the affirmative, and then I asked if he saw me on the trail and he said yes. I said why didn't you give me a sign to hold up? He didn't have an answer. So I again apologize, and then explain that he was sitting in my stand, and I didn't expect to see him in it because last year he came in with his own climber, and it is not his stand. He also tells me he dropped his brother and brother inlaw off at the driveway of the property the got kicked off of to push to him. You guy think I was being a dick? I mean he obviously saw that someone put in the time and effort to get the stand there and trim trees and set it up wtf was he thinking I was just doing it to go out of season and be a nature photographer?

He had no business being in your stand. You have to wonder who's he thought it was.

What's the landowner's opinion - that is all that matters.

It doesnt matter what the land owner says. If you both have permission then its between the 2 hunters and no one has any business sitting in your stand.

He actually was shooting away from in another direction.

The guy was told by the landowner I would be there around 12pm to hunt, I actually got there around 1pm, so he knew I was coming and it was my stand. I was not trying to be a dick to the guy cause he will be there hunting with us again. I just think he should not have had tude knowing he was using someone elses stand, and that person would be along at any moment.

I also have a summit viper I leave set up on the other side of the property. I use this one in the morning. Sometime between sat pm and last night someone stole the rapid climb stirrups off of it. I went to climb it this morning and no stirrups, good thing the crappy boot loops were still there. People suck

It's sad how many gamecams and tree stands are stolen each year. There's obviously a lot of lowlifes out there.

sorry they stole your crap...hopefully you can follow the boot prints...at least take a mental note of the track, cause who-ever it was will be back, as they have been there before. prolly one of these guys you referred to in your original post. gl

Some of the spots I hunt others have permission to. We just work it out among ourselves as to where we'll both be. That being said I've never hunted with someone as rude as you posted this fella to be. The nerve to sit in someone elses stand without permission is a big no-no in my book. Also for him to shoot with you right there, different direction or not......and stealing your stuff..... I think ya handled it a little to cool.
