Oh, and about the "lane" referenced above, yes, there is one there and I'm sure he's hunting it. Only problem is, it's not on his side of the fence. 20 yards up from his "platform" is a blackberry thicket (on his side) that the deer don't go through. |
I bet you are wrong I have seen lots of deer in blackberry thickets and brier patches.

They don't go through this one because there are easier avenues of travel, plus, when looking at it there's no evidence of them going through it. No tracks, no path, no broken branches, nothing. But I'm sure you're right, especially since you haven't seen it. Sheesh.
:sheep: ah so youve been trespassing on his land to see if theres any tracks by the berries? lol jk |

Nah, it's right next to the fence and I've walked that fence line a hundred times. I know their travel patterns in there fairly well.
When walking along the fence line...are you up in the air near the same elevation that the hunter sits? There are plenty of deer trails that are seen from one spot, but if you move one foot to the left or to the right they arent visible. If youre on your side of the property(which appears to be at least five feet from his stand) there is no way (I can think of) that you would see what he does. |

Um, whatever, but logic would dictate that you would set yourself up to view in the direction you're interested in hunting. I'm pretty sure from the setup shown he isn't interested in what's going on behind him. Occam's razor.
Again, my point in the previous thread: if the expectation is you're not going to be able to shoot a deer and keep it from falling on private land, don't hunt that spot! |

I never said he wasn't. I didnt say anything about him. I said things about you. I simply pointed out the fact that you cant tell for sure if there is a trail, while standing on your property. Thats a fact. |
