Default Measuring Question

I shot a big 6pt the other day and I have a question about measurements. He's not a record contender, but my buddy and I were discussing this and are curious. There's no broken tines. He's a natural 6pt.

The B&C/P&Y directions seem to imply that all deer get 4 circumference measurements, but they also sort of assume that any deer will automatically be at least an 8pt. Is this the case or would this deer get only three circumference measurements?

all deer get 4 circumference measurments. doesnt matter how many points. for your 6pt you would take the circumference after the G2 and count it twice
