I was able to connect on this buck that I nicknamed "50 Cent" on the last weekend of the SD rifle season. He was a fighter that had a gouge in his cheek and was missing 6" of his G4.

Here is my final buck for the 2010 season and some weight taken off my shoulders believe it or not! I was able to find this buck by concentrating on doe movement between bedding and feeding sources on public ground. Late season is a great time to find deer payig particular attention to good food sources. After watching the buck bed I was able to close the distance by walking the frozen river bottom and crawling to 93 yards before letting my TC Endeavor fill the air with a puff of smoke. The buck didn't even get out of his bed. The drag back to the truck was a welcome one! It has been a great year of hunting again in 2010!
