Default Any luck mid day?

Is is pretty deep in the rut where I'm at and i work until sunup third shift. I was wondering if anybody has had any luck getting into a stand about an hour after sunlight and being able to call in bucks in the rut?
Thanks for the input

Yes..1/2 my deer have been killed mid day..

One quick ole story..Little background knowledge before I get laughed at. In the Military I was the best shot..they knew from my shooting I must have been a hunter..

While on leave I scouted out a place quickly in Maryland. A new place I'd never set foot on. My dad's old Steven's 30-30 was shot in but the ammo was at least 30 years old.He hardly ever hunted. I'm in my stand..a very big buck ..which I thought was a cow at first is walking right under my stand...I fired...He kept walking..3 more shots straight down on his back ..The deer simply walked off..WHAT THE HECK !!! I was now out of rounds.. I bought a new box. made sure the rifle fired straight..it did..went back the same day..and at 1:30 PM a younger buck saw me...bolted through some thick stuff..I fired one shot and rolled him while he was in full sprint..He died on the spot.

Even when they are not in the rut they will move around mid day. It seems to me they bed down around mid morning and get back up and browse until mid evening. Bed down again until their night stroll. Durring the rut and high hunting pressure deer may move at any time.

I got into the woods late yesterday morning, around 8ish. Was there 20 minutes and got a buck. Also seen 3 others. I was there at the right time when they were in the area. Did some grunting and 1 bleat, and they just came out the wood work. The 3 were 1 1/2 year olds. The 1 I got was 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 years old guessing.
Ya never know when you'll see 'em really. Just be out there. Especially now in the rut and your golden.
Good luck!

Midday is a great time, especially during the rut and the day after full moon.
