Default Doe Grunt

Hello all I had a doe come out 80 yd in front of me with nose to the ground and somewhere to be and about 20min later she came behind me grunting like a fat puppy. What do yall think she was doing? I thought she might have lost her yearling but not sure.

kinda sounds like she is coming into heat or is in heat

Kinda thought that as well but wasn't sure. I have never heard a doe grunt
