Default Heck of a night.

Me and my brother went out to some public ground tonight and I forgot my release I knew I was screwed but decided to try it anyway, well I got sat down at about 3:15 and about 4:30 a buck comes jogging in,I am crouched behind a downed tree with some heavy roots on the end a perfect hiding spot, well the deer was at 10 yards and I went maaah he stopped I shot right over his back he turned ran 25 yards and stopped I released another arrow it zinged right past his face,it is crazy how much not having that release throws you off,I use to finger shoot all day long, still had a lot of fun getting a couple shots off, well so it gets dark and my brother walks up to me,he had a 10 point come in on him and he hit it but we tracked for 40-50 yards and lost all blood sign, his was a 15 yard shot and the arrow didnt pass threw so I am thinking he hit the shoulder blade but I am going to go back in the morning and hunt so I plan to try to look for it again just to make sure.

I just want to add that the bucks are in stupid mode, both of us was on the ground and 2 mature bucks was within 15 yards from us allowing us to draw back and even the wind blowing right to the buck I shot at,and I was able to renock an arrow and get a 2nd shot off with him looking right at me.
