Guided Whitetail hunt-how much is too much?
So where does everyone draw the line regarding costs for a guided whitetail hunt. It gets pretty expensive when you breakdown what you pay and then divide it by the number of days you hunted. Yea I know all the pre-scouting and set up work...as long as they "really do it". Then you can get the guide who puts his heart in it does everything right and you never see that keeper or the weather ruins the hunt...
So whats your number?...

For now, $1 is too expensive.
I'd have to kill a few bears and elk and moose before I'd pay to hunt something that I can shoot at my hunt club for free. That is just my opinion. If I won the lottery I'd take a week in Saskatchewan and shoot a monster whitetail.

How much is to much? $1 more than you are willing to pay. It will vary from person to person and factor in much more than available money!
- Access to that animal where you already hunt
- Your time
- Your personal hunting goals
- what's important to you: getting animal vs. a "good" hunt with memories
Personally I don't see paying to hunt what I can hunt at home: whitetails. Yes I can pay to hunt a big one or go somewhere with many more deer than NH. If I am going to pay to hunt, it will be something I can't hunt here: elk, mulie, antelope for example.
