223 for deer
#11
Oh, yeah, another .223 for deer hunting thread.
Get a better gun. If you want to use the .223 for hunting, try Varmint hunting, or spend more time at the range with it. Just because something is legal does not make it ethical.
I do own a .223 mini-14 as well. I enjoy shooting the gun at the range but would never consider using that caliber for deer hunting. You owe the deer all respect by using a bigger caliber that will deliver better killing power to the "boiler room".

I have killed many does with my bushmaster m4a3.... Head hunt and its extremely deadly. Very very accurate. Never shot a buck with it simply because I aim for the head, and by the way out of the i wanna say six does i have killed with it only one actually didnt drop, she jumped and landed on her head about five feet away and she was done. Good way to not ruin any meat! Cant think of a more humane harvest either
