I like the squirrel hunting idea mixed with telling them a different area that you are hunting. You have fun getting some squirrels (and spending time with your kids) as well as preserving your spot so you can have a succesful youth hunt.

Well no disrespect intended but my advice is to grow a set. Flat out tell them where you intend to hunt, where your stands are set and where you expect things to be moving from/to around you along with your alternate set ups.

AND TELL THEM TO KEEP THE HECK AWAY, DON'T DARE DISTURB YOUR SET UP AND THERE IS PLENTY OF GROUND FOR THEM TO SCOUT, PLAN AND HUNT.

Let them clearly know you are sick of their BS and disrepect and you wouldn't do that to them and you expect the same.

Sure you could tell them you are setting up somewhere else or refuse to tell them where you're setting up. But those are friggin' games. Games are for kids.

And they sound like some grade A buttholes. They deserve nothing - especially any respect or consideration.

I would say next time they ask where you are hunting, tell them a place on the other side of the property of where you actually intend to hunt. With that much land, there's no reason for them to be right on top of you like that.

This is what I would do too.

At least Uncle Matt is honest. That is really what a guy should do, I will see if I can swipe my set out of my wifes purse.

I recently had a situation where I was invited to hunt an area where there were numerous stands set up over about 600 acres.
The landowner gave me a tour in his SxS to show me the area, traffic zones, and where the stands were located.
Being that I'm a guest, I took extra care to ensure I wasn't close to anyone elses setup, even it it meant I didn't have the worlds greatest location.
Seems rude to me to have someone else sitting on my position that I put the hard work into to find, scout, learn, and plan for hunting it, especially if I hadn't invited them.
I'd do one of two things - I'd either give them a rash of grief in a highly vocal fashion and embarrass the snot out of them, or I'd pull their stand, deliver it to them, and politely inform them that they were right on top of mine and I don't appreciate their being inconsiderate.
If all else fails, inform them that you're hunting in the middle of a swamp/thicket/impossible terrain that you saw a MONSTER FREAK buck moving from, and shhhhhh....it's a secret.
Folks that will set up on your site would jump at such a thing, and set themselves up for it.

Well I occasionally find mine in my wife's purse too. But I just take them out and throw in a couple cue balls. It usually takes her a couple months before she even realizes that the cue balls aren't the real things.
