Great call on not pushing him!! Congrats on the recovery and from this you will know for next time what your limits are on knowing how long you can hold your bow while under pressure. Congrats again on a great looking deer!!!!!!

Congrats from s fellow Wisconsinite. Hey hunting is hunting we are not machines. Mistakes will happen. I had that happen two yrs ago with my biggest buck. Late season MN buck walks up I draw and I'm trying to find him through the trees my bow hits my hanger bam released an arrow. I got down and looked no arrow. I came back next morning 60 yds away. Dead in the Bed 155 P&Y.

Once again congrats. What county you hunt in. You seeing any scrapes yet?

Thanks everybody! I hunt in northeastern portage county and in southeastern marathon county. This buck was actually beginning to make a scrape before he stepped out of the woods. Other than that the activity around here has been extremely slow.

Way to stay with it, mistakes are made all the time, whoever says they are perfect is simply an internet hunter. Nice buck as well and great decision to let him bed down rather than push.
