This is within an hour of my home town on the Indiana side. The article is pretty sketchy, but it looks like someone shot someone in a hunting situation and left the person there. It's not even gun season in Indiana. I will post more when more detail emerge.

How absolutely TRAGIC!! My heart goes out to his family. As the father of 2 boys, I know that I would be DESTROYED if that were my son. I hope they find the one(s) responsible...

If any other information comes out about this be sure to follow up with the info. Tragic situation not only for the boy that was shot and his family, but when the shooter is identified he and his family will be torn also.

October 15? This is not firearms deer season! Not that it's an excuse, but the shooter was probably breaking more than a few laws before the shooting took place. There's no room out there for this kind of thing.

He accidentally shot himself hunting for coyotes out of a tripod deer stand.
