Here in Arkansas: Archery Oct.1 thru Feb. 28
Muzzleloader Oct. 16 thru Oct.24; Dec. 29-31 Depending which zone you hunt.
Modern gun Nov. 13 thru Dec.19; Christmas holiday Dec. 26-28.
Bag limit: five deer, no more than two legal bucks.
Guess where I'll be Sat. morning.

Virginia's is Nov 13 - Jan 1 (for most counties east of the Blue Ridge Mountains). It is a "general firearms" season, subject to each county's firearms ordinances (some are shotgun/muzzleloader only). West of the Blue Ridge, it's Nov 13 - 27.

Illinois has no rifle season? Figures. It's one of the few states where I have to lockdown and stow my handgun in the trunk when traveling through. Not a big fan of guns there, are they?

Gun season is November 6th through January 2nd in Texas. There are also youth hunts where they can use a rifle on October 30th and 31st and January 3rd through 16th.
Archery is October 2nd through November 5th.

In Florida the general gun season runs Nov 25-Nov 28 and then re-opens Dec 11 thru Feb 20. There is also a muzzy season Dec 4 to Dec 10 and Feb 21 to Feb 27.
I think there is also a week or so of muzzy season in Alabama a week before the general gun season starts.

Actually - anyone that said that Pennsylvania's rifle season is only 2 weeks long is wrong.
Here is why
First you have a Special Antlerless Deer season - October 21 - 23rd
Jr / SR license holders and Disabled persons permit, any Pennsylvania resident actively serving in the US Armed Forces - including the US Coast Guard. I would imagine that if you worked for the Border Patrol that they would also look the other way on that one.
Muzzleloader antlerless - October 16 - 23
Regular Firearms Deer season - November 29 - December 11
Then you have a antlerless deer season in area's - 2B, 5C, 5D
December 27 - January 29
Flintlock Muzzleloader season December 27 -January 15 in most zones and December 27 - January 29 in the special areas listed above. 2B, 5C, 5D.
My way of thinking - that gives you almost 2 months worth of rifle hunting.

Without looking at the regs I believe CO has a total of 5 general rifle seasons. 3 seasons for west of the front range and 2 east. The longest single season is 14 days from Dec 1 to 14th. Here you can only get 1-2 deer per year. Typically one drawn license and on the plains you can get addtional doe whitetail license.
I would defer to those who know exactly.

9 days here in WI. Starts the saturday before thanksgiving, and ends the sunday after thanksgiving. There is a special anterless season this weekend in certain zones.
Illinois is shotgun only, no rifles (although i think they may allow muzzleloaders...haven't hunted down there in years, so i may be wrong on that)
