Tree Stand Safety
I would like to remind all the tree stand hunters out there......WEAR YOUR SAFETY HARNESS!!!!!! I live in southern Maryland and in less than 2-weeks we've had 2-bow hunters lose their lives from falling from their tree stand. The last instance, a 14-year old boy was hunting with his father. Once his father had stopped responding to his text messages he went to the spot where his father was hunting. Spotted him on the ground unconscious.
This 14-year boy has lost his father and hunting partner because he decided to get in his tree stand without a harness.....BIG MISTAKE!
EVERYONE....PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!!

good post,
now that I am a father I have looked at my safety in a tree in a whole new process.
something I think should be banned from use are the screw in tree steps, I know more than 1 instance of a man getting hurt from these even when using a harness while climbing, use the strap on ladders.
