another thing, take him to a bow shop and see what he can pull first then look at many different bows, this helped me with my first bow because i really didnt know what to expect and i found a bow that felt right for me. also the guys there will know what alot of people buy for their kids.

go to your local archery shop and fit him with one, a bow isnt something you can just buy.

Your best bet is go to the local shop and see how much he can pull and what his current draw length is. Most bows now a days have modules. The draw length change with the modules will allow him to shoot it for awhile.
