Stopping

I've heard the arguments from both sides and the most experienced guys I've talked to say try to make a grunt. I have personally stopped a big eight point at 15 yards broadside for me and it was never able to locate me. Probably the most successful hunter I know once told that a rutting deer will not stop for anything when it has the scent of a doe, Rattling or grunt will not phase a buck on a mission. He told me the only that has ever stopped these types of deer dead in their tracks, was for him to literally yell at them. They are so tuned out of everything around them that you yelling makes them stop and try to asses if there is any danger before their fight or flight response kicks in giving those precious seconds to shoot.

Actually you can make any kind of noise to make it stop. The thing is, youve only got a coupl seconds and it might take off
