That sounds about right. I was gonna say he would gross mid 130's. Hell of a nice buck. congrats. I killed one this year that didnt score much but he was still impressive. He had a 22 inch inside spread and 7 inch brow tines.

Nice buck, nice brows. I used to think points didn't matter, but I guess no matter the spread, points matter alot

Points (tine length) means everything. That's where you gain the Inches. As for your buck I don't see him going over 125 Inches. Great buck regardless Mark, congratulation's!!

I would have said 125 right off the bat without reading the entire thread. It takes a lot of bone for a clean 8 pt. to crack the 130 mark. Either way that is a nice deer!

Next year, look for his daddy. Doesn't matter what he scores, as long as you are happy with him. I had a couple of muley bucks that I had a mixup on about 10 yrs ago, shot the wrong one. Big guy was about 170-180 in velvet, thought he'd crossed in front of me when I was working my way thru a depression. All I saw was 4 x on my right side out of the periphery, spun and shot him all in one motion in full autopilot at 55yds. Saw the arrow hit, heard it hit a stump behind him, he took off out of sight over the hill. I saw a deer get up about 100yds away when I went to get my arrow. Didn't think it was him,
too small. a 4x3, nope. No blood on him. It took me two hours of humping up & down a hill in the dark before I went over that way, to discover I'd really shot a 4x3, not the big guy. Mounted his horns anyway. That was probably the best hunting shot I've ever made.Oh well. damn, that was a goooood shot though.
